Founded in 1884 and originally redesigned by both Willie Park and James Braid, Formby Golf Club is one of the most memorable courses in the British Isles. A traditional links course of charm and elegance situated close to the shoreline of the Irish Sea.
Built in 1869, Hoylake, as it is also known, is the oldest of all the English links courses. It will host the 2012 Women’s British Open, the 2013 British Boys’ Championship and the 2014 Open Championship.
